Don't talk to me like that, I gave birth to you!

Lately Dexter has forgotten that I am his mother.  He forgets that I went through agonizing natural labor to bring his screaming self into this world. Yep, he thinks I am here simply to serve him. "Get me a drink!" he says.  "Turn on a movie for us!" he demands. "Time for fruit snacks!" he declares.  I'm about ready to kick his demanding butt to the curb!

Echo is officially a scooter.  She doesn't crawl, but she manages to get around.  She scoots almost exactly the same way Ivy did.  I haven't caught it on video yet, but hopefully soon.  She's much happier being able to get to the things that spike her curiosity.

Did I mention that my IUD is in an awkward place these days?  The maternal fetal medicine doctors kind of freaked out about it the other day.  Its a lot closer to the baby now, and since its on the outside of my uterus they are pretty concerned about it doing damage to other organs.  Anyway, I was contacted by a gynocological oncologist, who was the closest they could come to an expert since I am THE FIRST case they've ever had with the IUD on the outside.  He said that we are just going to "wait and see" and he doesn't think it is an immediate danger.  Hopefully it will stay put, and we can surgically remove after baby comes.  I just have to be very careful to be aware of any pains I am having.  Like pregnant ladies don't have enough to worry about!

Also, I saw my ENT (ear, nose, and throat) dude on Wednesday.  He said my tonsils definitely need to come out, but also can wait til after baby.  This is the year of surgery for us I guess!  I'm still deciding about getting my tubes tied....I don't really want to do it, but I don't want more babies.....I don't know what to do yet.  Maybe Scott and I will have to commit to a life of celibacy!  Ha ha!  Yeah right!

Anyway, SUPER SUNSHINE expected today.  I'm so excited to get out and ride bikes and tan my legs.  Whoo hoo for the 70's!  Happy weekend everybody!

Thanks for update on things! Jeez, that's so crazy that you're the first person they've ever seen with an IUD on the outside of the uterus. An oncologist? Whoa.

Because I work in insurance the first thing I thought when you mentioned the tonsilectomy and possible tubes tied after baby I thought "Well, do it this year! You'll already hit your out of pocket maximum with a baby delivery!!" What a dork I am!
That's quite the decision to make though. And it sounds better than celibacy, for sure. FOR SURE! :)

Wow! Lots of big medical decisions. Can't seem to catch a break, can you? Glad everything is "ok" for now though.
And what a little stinker that Dex is. Don't kids know and appreciate what we have done for them???? Nope. And they won't for about another 20 years.
