I'm taking a break from my crochet project of 15 dolls. I don't really have much to blog about so I just thought I'd do a little list of some of my favorite things.
Favorite Movie: The Money Pit. If you haven't seen this movie, you must! Financially speaking, it BOMBED when it came out back in the 80's, however, it is so dang funny. Seriously, give it a chance! Its awesome!
Favorite Scene From My Favorite Movie: There are many scenes in The Money Pit that I would consider classic and awesome (The bathtub falling through the floor, the stairs disintegrating, etc) but my favorite is when Walter (Tom Hanks) gets stuck in a hole in the floor with his arms barely sticking out. He starts talking and singing to himself and eventually hallucinates about the care bears. Its SO FUNNY!
My Favorite TV Show (presently): Community. Have you ever seen this show? IT. IS. GREAT. I've developed an unhealthy crush on Chevy Chase from it, and adore Troy and Abed. If you are interested there is a wonderful video on youtube from their Christmas special (Troy and Abed's Save Christmas Rap). Super funny! I'm not going to post the video because it may not be appropriate for all audiences (It says a bad word). So instead, here is a different video about Jeff and Shirley playing Foosball and making fun of Anime. Its awesome!
My Favorite Musicians/Bands: I couldn't narrow this down to one because music is such a huge part of me. So I'll give you five that I will always LOVE. 1. Queen-They're flamboyant, they're operatic, and they're not new, but they are incredible. I'm not talking about "We are the Champions"( blek), I'm talking about, "Don't Stop Me Now", and "Love of My Life." I love singing their songs in the car as loud as I can! 2. Incubus-These guys were my favorite band for years. I saw them in concert a couple of times, and they are always great. 3. Oingo Boingo- This band is full of great musicians who are all amazing at the instruments they play. Among them is Danny Elfman, (ya know, he does music for movies, like Nightmare before Christmas). All their songs are weird and crazy and don't make sense, but they are so good, plus it helps that they are from my favorite musical decade (the 80's)! 4. Fastball - I'm willing to bet that most of you aren't familiar with these guys, but they had a couple big hits in the late 90's. They were popular for like a day, but they are still together and making great music. EVERY album is good! I love them. 5. The Muse- I know, I know, so trendy, but also good. No, I didn't first hear of them from watching twilight! Despite popular belief they did not become famous because of Stephanie Meyer! Stupid Twilight has to ruin everything that is good in this world!
Anyway, I should get back to work. Sorry to have bored you to death with my pointless post.

Queen is one of my all time favorites too! I always forget how much I liked incubus back in the day too. Good stuff, girl, good stuff. :)
You know how many people say we look alike well....I don't watch Community, I have absolutely no desire to see it. The bands...I've heard you talk about but I don't know them except for Queen.I have all the twilight books and movies. Man are we different in those ways. But you've inspired me, I guess I'll have to do a blog on some of my favorite things!
I just wanted to say that I HAVE heard of Fastball. I had a friend back when I was teaching who was OBSESSED with them. She even saw them in concert a few times (I think she flew to New York or something) to see them. I also love 80's music but probably not the same 80's music. I was more of a pop fan. Thanks for sharing.
