Just a couple of things

You know what the worst part of having 4 people (probably soon to be 5) in our family that wear glasses? Its ridiculously hard to get a family picture without glaring on those glasses.  We had family pictures taken about a week and a half ago (we wanted to get some with Echo before she's not the baby anymore), and we tried FOREVER to get one without someone having a glare, and while everyone smiles.  Ugh, it was impossible.  Oh well, I think we still got some cute ones out of it.  I'll post the new pics soon.

This weekend some of our best friends (who I hope don't get mad at me for sharing this) called to tell us that they might be having a baby with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (the same condition as Ivy).  I was devastated for them and I couldn't stop thinking about it.  It brought back a lot of those old feelings of sorrow for Ivy, and I just couldn't believe it was happening to someone else that we know so well.  When they called me this morning to tell me that the baby did not have it, and will actually be totally fine, it took all my strength to not weep with joy (I waited til we hung up...is that weird?).  I am so happy that they don't have to go through what we went through.  They mentioned that they felt bad that they got such good news when we never did get that kind of news with Ivy.  To which I say, don't feel bad.  I don't feel bad.  Ivy is a happy, beautiful, amazing little girl, and she is who she is because of what she's gone through, and I wouldn't have it any other way.  The trials that we've dealt with are how its meant to be and we are okay with it.  That being said, I would never want to go through it again, or witness our friends, whom I love, go through it either.  So I'm so SO happy for them.  Congratulations guys!  I am completely ecstatic for you!

Also this weekend we started painting the main living areas in our house.  Scott hates painting, but I've wanted to paint since we moved in, so after 4 1/2 years I'm finally getting my way.  I hate the yellowish color of all the walls, so I'm so happy to be rid of it in at least part of the house.  I can't wait to post pictures of how it all turns out (We're not quite finished yet, but I will for sure show it off when its all done).

And finally, remember on Corbin's birthday how we posted a video of his first two years and promised to post more as Scott finished them?  Well he finished the video for years 2-4.  So if you're interested here is that video. We totally understand if Grandma's and Grandpa's are the only ones interested, so don't feel obligated to watch....Anyway have a fantastic rest of the week.
