How my kids view life as an adult

Here are a few random quotes from my kids on how they see adult life.
Corbin: "When I'm a daddy and my kids ask me for candy, I will get to say no!"

Dexter: "I can't wait until I'm a grown up and ride my bike in the front yard when I want."

Ivy: "When I'm a daddy I will come home from work and kiss you and me and Echo!"

Corbin:  "I can't wait until I'm big and can eat what I like for dinner."

Dexter: "How come Grandma Marde is a grown up but doesn't have kids?"
Me: "Grandma does have kids.  Daddy is Grandma's kid. Her kids all grew up!"
Dexter: "What?  Daddy is a kid?"

Ivy: "When I'm mommy, I will give Dexy a time out."

Corbin:  "When I'm big, I'm going to have a phone like yours and get to play games on it." (he already has an old phone that has no phone line, that is used only for games, but he still gets mad at me when I won't let him play with mine.)

Dexter: "I love our new van.  When I'm a mommy, I mean daddy, I'm going to drive this van."

Ivy: "When I'm Echo's mommy, I will hold her and feed her and tell her I love her."
