Another great poop story

How can someone so cute, be so stinky?!

For the past few days Dexter has been sick, and getting sicker. It all started last week at church when he was in nursery and his daddy caught him licking a ball, that's right, licking it, he's so gross! Anyway, licking that ball probably wasn't a good thing because a cough started just a day or two later. It's gradually turned from a cough into a sore throat, runny nose, and now diarrhea.
He woke up from his nap today quietly and an hour early. He apparently just got out of bed and came down the stairs. I heard him as he got to the bottom, so I got up and went to greet him. As I got to him I could smell the poop, and I was relieved that he woke up from his nap early because he had a dirty diaper, we don't want a nasty rash on our hands. I grabbed diaper changing supplies and laid him down to change him. That's when I noticed there was a little bit of neon green poop on his shirt. I thought, oh no, and then looked more closely at his pants, they also had several green spots where it had seeped through. I quickly took off his stinky, gross clothes to get to his even more stinky and gross diaper and was appalled at what I saw. He had several neon green streaks down his legs, oh man it's going to be completely liquid. I held my breath and opened up his diaper and felt like my worst fears had come true! It was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. I don't think I have ever seen poop that color of green before, or that liquidy, EWE, EWE, EWE!! Anyway, he was a sport and held still while I cleaned him up for the next ten minutes, and then took him up the stairs to have a quick bath. While I was carrying him up the stairs I found several large green spots of poop on the stairs, and then a trail leading to his room. So I spent the next 30 minutes or so (after his bath) cleaning the carpet, his sheets, mattress, and pretty much anything else that he happened to cross paths with. I love it when kids are sick. Corbin's cough has now started also......I hope he doesn't get as far as the diarrhea!
Apparently I have a good poop story about once a year. To read another great poop story click here!

I feel for you - Jacob had it all last week. But I lucked out and that is when he decided to poop on the potty so I didn't really have to clean up too much. Good luck!

Chelle, it's like you put my nightmare with Boo into words. After the last middle of the night puking I made her stand in the kitchen while I cleaned up her bed until I could get her in the shower. All of a sudden I hear this awful gurgling sound coming from the kitchen. I'm getting sick just thinking about it! So then I had to lay her down with puke on her cuz I couldn't put her in the shower with her pullup full of poop. But then it started running down her legs and up her back when I got her down. For like an hour I couldn't get that smell out of my nose! I wish you and your little guys the best!

Eww, eww, eww. I have been there with the neon green. But never with the pure liquid. Eww. Sorry you had to deal with that.
I have a great quote for you:
"I wouldn't have felt like a mother if something gross didn't happen to me today."

EWW I am so sorry that it got all over the carpet. I hate poop problems, I don't handle it well.

Yes, that was truly a gross poop story. We have all been there with kid's diapers though, I am so glad to have that stage in life behind me (until grandkids anyway!). That is so funny that he was licking the ball in nursery. Kids are funny, they just don't get the concept of germs!!
