In case you didn't know...We're spending a lot of time in the hospital and then recovering indoors this summer. Plus the boys are spending a LARGE amount of time with Grandma for the summer, so we are trying to make the best of Summer vacation while we are all together and feeling healthy.
We have done the slip n slide a few times. The day from these pictures, the boys did slip n slide while the girls napped. When the girls got up they were jealous. I turned my back for literally one second and Echo crawled at the speed of light and sat in that water. By then it was too late, so I just let her have a good time and get soaking wet. Our kids all LOVE water!
She kept trying to drink the water! Yuck!
Scott's missing his former life as a rock star. Corbin is going to start lessons from him (most likely in the fall).
Every year our neighborhood does a "Neighborhood Yard Sale" We've never sold anything, but we love checking out what other people have. Here is the greatest $10 we've ever spent!
This pool is HUGE- like 20ft across and 3 1/2 feet deep (its not all the way filled yet in these pics).
We didn't really want to ruin our grass, but finally decided the kids having happy memories of swimming in the backyard is more important than perfect grass (that they won't remember or even care about when they grow up).
The best thing that has happened so far this summer is weaning Echo from the bottle. It was SO easy. I don't think she even knows she was weaned. And she's (finally) back to sleeping ALL night long. After the whole weaning from breastfeeding disaster she stopped consistently sleeping through the night, but weaning her from the bottle cured it and now she sleeps through the night and drinks from a sippy cup in the day! What a super star!
