Rain makes me wish I had laser eye surgery

School is out today and tomorrow, and again next Thursday and Friday. I don't know why its out this week. Next week is for parent/teacher conferences, and that one makes sense. Not to say I'm sad. I really hate getting up early to take Corbin to school. Almost as much as I hated it when I actually went to school myself.

It's been raining for a couple of days now. I love it. Even though I walk our kids to school everyday and my pants end up soaked nearly to the knees, and my glasses need windshield wipers in order for me to see, it still brings great joy, comfort and warmth to my insides. Yesterday was "Walk to School Day", it was POURING outside. It was the first time this year that we haven't walked. Corbin was devastated. I feel bad, but it isn't worth the baby getting pneumonia for some stupid made up holiday to encourage exercise. We walk every other day and Corbin gets plenty of exercise.

In other news, we've got Halloween fever. I actually held out pretty well with not putting up my Halloween decor too early. I didn't even need to crochet any new decorations to keep me at bay. Not because I didn't want to, but because I've been too darn busy. Scott is busy working on the boys' costumes, which I think will be quite awesome, and I've been working on the girls', which are slightly less complicated.

You don't get to find out what the boys costumes are yet, but the girls' aren't as cool, so I won't keep them secret. Echo will be Minnie. I finished the majority of the hat yesterday. She fell asleep while trying it on.
Ivy is delighted that Echo is Minnie, and has been calling her Minnie since she got to try the hat on! She's more delighted that she gets to be Mickey. Ivy's hat is mostly done as well and she's been wearing it non-stop since Saturday. I just need to add a few embellishments on them and then they'll be completely done. Then off to Savers to figure out the outfits.
ps..Isn't that sweater adorable? Ivy was so excited when she put it on that she danced for a few minutes and proclaimed herself pretty. She's such a girl! (Thanks Auntie Heidi)

Awe, they look so cute! It's been raining here alot too, today is sunnier. We opened all our windows on the 15 of Sept, but today I had to close a couple of them...it got down to 66 degrees in the house, your dad was freezing.

Those are such cute Minnie ear caps! Did you have a pattern or do you just make it up as you go?

I made it up. I actually almost never use patterns.
