My Poor Baby...UPDATE

After 5 days in the hospital Malcolm's eye's both cleared up.  Every single bacterial test came back negative.  They stopped giving him 2 out of 4 antibiotics, and decided that since his eyes were better and they couldn't even say for sure that he had a bacterial infection, that it must have been a virus that had finished running its course and we were free to go home! He still has to be on two of the antibiotics (one eye-drop, and one by mouth that is close to the one he received by IV in the hospital) for 5 more days, just in case, and do at least 2 follow-up appointments, but we are so happy that he got to come home that we don't mind at all.

He has been doing great since being home, and I am so relieved to not be at the hospital anymore.  I've loved hanging out with the kids and Scott again, and just getting back to our normal routine.  I'm so grateful that he is doing well and that nothing serious happened to him.  I was having quite a pity party when we first got admitted and especially when I heard we'd be stuck for two weeks, but I realized that it could be a lot worse, and I should be counting my blessings that any of my kids have been healthy as newborns.

Thanks for not calling me out on my ungratefulness though!  It would have fallen on deaf ears anyway.

So I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for praying for us and thinking of our sweet new baby while we were there.  We really appreciate it!

Also, again thanks to our ward for being awesome and helping us out (and continuing to help us out) during a hard time for us.

And finally, I just want to throw in a shout out to my most awesome husband.  Scott really stepped up to the plate during this whole ordeal.  He was Mr. Mom and did such an amazing job being a single dad to 4 kids, keeping the house mostly clean, and making sure the kids were dressed, clean and fed everyday, not to mention still getting some work time in.  I now know that if I die unexpectedly I really have nothing to worry about because I know Scott will take great care of our family. I'm so proud of him.  On a side note, after about the 2nd day of being a stay at home mom/dad Scott finally agrees with me that maybe we do have enough kids.  I don't think he was ever truly convinced before.  I'm glad we are now on the same page.

I'm so glad everything is back to normal. I'm glad your ward was so helpful to you in your time of need. Give all those grandkids a hug for us,and Scott too!

Great news. HaHa to the last two sentences of your post. The only thing that would make it a sure decision for men is if they had to birth one too.

You are such a good mom! I'm sorry things have been so hard, I would totally take your kids if I lived closer. Glad you are both home.

It is funny that Scott wasn't sure you were done, Raymond still things we are having 1 more, I am not so sure, nothing is set in stone but I think I am done too.

Our prayers are with you and your adorable family. Love you guys.
