Gecko finally walks!

Gecko turns 15 months this week (That's Echo, in case you didn't already know).  I have been wondering if she would ever walk before the new baby was born.  I was thinking she wouldn't for spite. She has been standing unassisted for well over a month, but always refused to take a single step.  But then, two weeks ago she took two steps in a row, and I knew it wouldn't be long.  She's very stubborn though and will sit on her bottom if we try to interfere in anyway, she prefers to do things all by herself.  Anyway, this last week she finally got it, and walks all over now!  She still falls a lot, and will not let us hold her hand or anything still, but she is getting pretty good.  We are so proud of her.
Other fun facts about my cute little Echo.  She is crazy independent and stubborn (as you have just learned). She is a great eater (the pic above she has cottage cheese all over her face, if you look closely), she seriously eats every single thing I offer her, and often cleans up Ivy's leftovers as well.  Maybe she's having a growth spurt!  She hates having her diaper changed and getting dressed, she screams and cries and tries with all her might to escape.  She loves playing in water, whether that be from a pool, the bathtub or a puddle on the ground, if she spots it, she will try and get wet (I have to be very aware of all puddles at all times!).  She LOVES making messes.  Some kids aren't that messy (Ivy and Corbin), but some really enjoy getting out every toy, every diaper, every wipe, every tissue, every pot, every utensil, and every towel until the room they are currently in is a complete disaster (Echo and Dexter).

Anyway, we love our little Gecko and think she is just the silliest girl.  She has a great fiery personality and we wouldn't have her any other way!

Ps...Don't forget to vote on the new baby's birthday and weight in my previous post!
