Why I Am Grateful For My Aching Back

Sleep is ROUGH. Even though I am so exhausted, I can't sleep in. Every morning when I wake up I feel like my back is broken, however, I am very grateful for it. I am having a completely trouble free, nearly perfect pregnancy. The baby is healthy without any defects (according to the ultrasound), and that is a VERY big plus for us. The baby is on the small side (like all my babies have been), but is growing well, even though I haven't gained very much weight. I haven't had any bleeding, or swelling, or early contractions, or anything really scary. Every negative symptom that I have (ie. itching, coughing until I almost wet my pants, achy back, being clumsier than normal) feels like nothing because the baby is developing normally. I feel so blessed.

Anyway, I don't have to wait much longer to find out if there's a baby boy or girl in there. I'm at 33 weeks, and I really feel great. I'm still walking the kids to and from school everyday, and luckily don't feel those pulling tendon pains (or whatever they were) much anymore. I had an appointment on Monday, and my doctor is very pleased with how the baby is growing. She did say that it will be small (like the others), and even though I didn't gain a pound the last few weeks she is not concerned. Oh, and this crazy cough that I've had for weeks and isn't related to any cold or other illness, isn't something to be concerned about either. I am hopeful it will disappear sometime before delivery. I can't believe there are just 7 weeks to go. Whoo hoo! So that's my big ol' belly. Not a great quality picture, but you can still see how my belly looks way bigger than the last time I took a pic!

Ps....Congrats to Scott's baby brother Shawn, and his wife, Shelley who had their first baby last week! We saw her earlier this week, and baby Shaliese is gorgeous. I think I'm already her favorite auntie!! J/k, but congrats guys!

Love the belly shot, it is amazing how quickly our bellies get so big :) I can't believe you are so close to the end, crazy! I keep thinking you are at about the same stage that I am, but you are way ahead of me. Hope your back feels better soon, but not too soon :)
