Last week was Spring Break for our boys and it was also conference weekend, so we decided to take the opportunity of not missing school and not having to ask for subs in our nursery class to have a teeny vacation before our bundle of joy makes his/her appearance. We headed down to Sandy, Utah and stayed for just 3 days with Scott's parents.
It was (and always is) so fun!! We saw our friends, Brad and Lisa Bollwinkel, got to visit with my sister and brother-in-law, and of course let the kids spend ridiculous amounts of time being spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa. The weather was beautiful there, it was in the 70's both Friday and Saturday(even on Sunday when we woke up to crazy amounts of snow, it still LOOKED beautiful). Friday morning Grandma Marde, Scott and I took the kids to "the squishy park" at Stacy's old school where they always have a blast. Then later that day, Marde and I took the kids to a museum in South Jordan with Lisa and her little ones. It was free and the boys LOVED it, unfortunately Ivy was in a bad mood and spent a lot of the time crying and complaining (especially after Lisa's little boy, Jonas, tried to give her loves!!). Right after that, Marde and I decided since we were on the west side of the valley we'd take the kids to West Jordan Park (the one with the wild west theme that looks more like a castle). It was packed to the brim with children and a little anxiety inducing for me, so we didn't stay long.
Anyway after all that, we still made time to have a double date with the Bollwinkels while Marde and Ross babysat, see Max and Mark, hit the craft store, have a pizza party, help Grandpa Ross with some computer projects, and watch every session of conference (except 1 hour of the second saturday session). It was definitely a weekend to remember with barely a spare moment to use the restroom (which is often these days)! Thanks to Marde and Ross for letting us stay, and putting up with the craziness for those few days, and of course for babysitting, food, and pretty much everything! Sorry to the friends and family that we weren't able to see or catch up with, maybe next time when we can stay a little longer. So here are some pictures from the squishy park, the museum, and the castle park, enjoy.

Corbin and Dex love this spinny thing. Its their favorite part of the squishy park.
The bucket swings!! The second favorite thing for the boys, and most favorite for Ives.
At the museum. Jonas drives the car, while Ivy tries to keep up on the rocking horse.
Corbin and Dex try to beat grandma at checkers
Ivy's turn to drive the car
Corbin hangs the laundry
Dexter drives while Jonas patiently waits for his turn.
Ivy is the obedient student....
While Corbin makes a great teacher.
Grandma Marde is a former Hula-Hoop champion. Ivy looks on and tries to master the skills.
The kids shop at the little grocery store. This picture was taken moments after little Jonas tried to pull Ivy in for a hug and kiss. She was not happy about it. Poor Jonas!
Dexter can't believe he gets to choose what to put in his basket!! He feels like a grown-up!
Showing off their wares. Can you see me crouching behind them, trying to keep Ivy in place for the picture. She was still upset.
Corbin and Dex pose by the old Model T (I'm not 100% sure that's what it is, I don't know much about cars).
Corbin trying to climb the wall at the castle park, while Dexter tries to manage those pesky flip flops. He came home with very scraped up knees because of those things!
Corbin and Dexter walk the tight rope
Dexter likes to be first!
Corbin came down too fast!
Ivy's turn. She's getting pretty brave these days.
Kids posing in a little doorway. Such a kodak moment.
Phew, the end!

It was great to see you guys. I am glad you got home safe in that crazy snow storm.
It looks like you had a super fun time at the park's and museum, and of course grandma Marde's home. Me and Kimi are headed to Salt lake for Tiffany's wedding on April 29. It's just a one nighter but it should be a good time.
Did you really post this at 3:11 am?! You are crazy! I'm so glad we got to hang out a bit and see how big your kids are getting. That picture cracks me up of Jonas glaring at Dex while he is in the car. Sorry he was attacking Ivy with his love and freaking her out. Can't wait to get together next time!
Did you say FREE musuem? Was it a free day or it is always free? And that park looked really awesome. I need some more details for the next time we are down that way. Do you have my email address to send me more info?
Super cute pics. Looks like a lot of fun and perfect weather.
Sounds like a lot of fun... especially the 70 degrees part. I don't know about you guys but I am totally mad about the 6 inches of snow that fell today :( I bet the kids loved to be spoiled by grandma, who wouldn't!
