My baby boy is six today! Last night when he went to bed he said to me, "This is the last night I will be five." and I said, "Yeah, I'll see you when you're six!"
Here are some reasons that he was the best five year old around:
1) He is seriously so well-behaved (most of the time).
2) He's very, very patient with his brother and sister, and plays with them so well.
3) He's super happy all the time, and makes everyone else happy. He loves to be silly and make Dex and Ives laugh.
4) He's a super helper. He helps pick up all the toys whenever I'm about to vacuum, and gets me things when I ask him to. He even occasionally cleans the bathroom!
5)He amazes me with how intelligent he is, and with the kinds of things he can figure out. Last week he was asking me all about why Ivy's heart doesn't work like his heart, and I think he understands it better than I do. I said, "Wow, Corbin you're smart. Maybe you'll be a heart surgeon someday." and he said, "I will only be a heart doctor if I can be a guy that holds stop signs for kids when they come home from school too." I laughed and laughed. He says such funny things.
Happy Birthday big guy! I love you more than words can say. Thanks for being such a wonderful kid and making my life easier. You were the best five year old ever, and I know you'll be a fantastic six year old.

That last comment made me laugh so hard!!! He'll only be a doctor if he can be a crossing guard..excuse me "a guy that holds stop signs for kids when they come home from school"...
