What I Learned From Dexter's Morning Preschool

~My kids are not morning people.
~I am not the morning person I thought I was.
~All those parents that drive their kids to school are nuts. (no offense if you're one of them.)
~The cool morning weather is way more pleasant than the blistering heat of afternoon.
~Dex does not have attachment issues.
~Dex can be good and follow directions. So what if he only does it for other people.
~Dexter's teacher definitely does NOT have children of her own!
~I don't like it when people who don't have glasses (or children with glasses) criticize the condition of my kids' glasses. Do they have any idea how expensive they are or how quickly a three year old can destroy them!!
~The school takes TOO LONG to make decisions and I'm NOT a patent person.

This sounds like he isn't in morning preschool anymore? I put my kids in morning preschool this year and it's seriously killing me. It's one thing to get up and get 1 child ready in the morning to go to the bus. It's a whole different thing to get myself ready and 2 additional children ready to drive them to preschool. This is their 3rd week, and I may have JUST gotten into a good routine. We'll see. I love your pro/con list.
Also you're right about the glasses. I can only imagine. Do people actually say stuff about them to you??

All teachers have their own ways of doing things. We don't always agree with them. As far as the glasses thing goes we had the same problem with Ted and Pat, and teachers said the same thing to us. I let them know exactly what I thought of them and their opinions, and it stopped after I explained that if it bothered them so bad ,they could fork over the money to buy him new one's.. but in a few weeks they would look like the old one's.

I just had parent-teacher conferences this week... I'd love to see a list of what the parents think of me! Maybe I'll make a list of what I think of them... :) I'm with you on the glasses - I have tons of kids in glasses this year, and even at 10 they are so hard on them! One kid has lost and found them about 5 times already.
