So with our closing date on our house fast approaching, (friday the 6th) I have been working like crazy to get the apartment all packed up and ready to go to make the transition easier. The apartment is covered in boxes, and everything else is starting to look pretty bare and pathetic. I have been planning to clean the apartment like crazy, but I kinda want to get all our junk out first so that I can actually see everything that needs to be done. I have a weird craving to see the place shine, so I am super excited to scrub!
But just today, a problem comes up. The bank may not be ready to close on friday! We have already scheduled the uhaul, scheduled to have the gas, electricity and water turned on, we even have a delivery scheduled for our new refridgerator and washer/dryer set. The bank people have said all along that the close date would be fine, they didn't forsee any problems, now they say, oh well, it is what it is! Are you kidding me! Are they going to pay for the uhaul cancellation, and any other problems that come up? They just act like it is no big deal, we have planned our lives around this move, so have others to help us out. It is rediculous! I am so irritated and infuriated that they are acting so nonchalant about the whole thing. How can they just say, it is what it is? We also have everything in the apartment being shut off the following friday (the 13th), so I would have time to clean, and not have to do it in the dark.
Now who knows what will happen, I really want to hurt that bank guy!

That is horrible! I know that things are terrible as far as loan processing right now. Rachael & Ismael got their closing date pushed back more than once! Very frustrating.

I would be mad too, as you are leaving from closing tip over a chair on purpose and say "oh sorry, it is what it is." J/K. Im sorry, I would be super irritated too.
Ack! I just realized that this was last week. I hope everything worked out ok!! I didn't know you guys were getting a house, how awesome (although it sounds a bit stressful now too).
