Our New House

Well, buying a house here in boise did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. As you may have read in a previous post, our loan guy did not come through with getting things done on schedule. He put us off a weekend originally and we had to reschedule our uhaul rental, then he put it off again and again for 10 days. We had to reschedule the uhaul twice and then cancel it altogether. We also had to reschedule our utilities being shut off. Once the loan guy finally did his job, and we were at the title company signing closing papers, we found out that since scotts license was expired, he would have to get a new one, and we would not recieve keys til after the weekend. The most annoying thing is that if the loan part was ready when it was supposed to be, Scott's license would have been valid (his birthday was the friday after we were originally supposed to sign closing papers). We decided to wait til after we got the house to get his new one, so it would have our current address on it. Who new an id wasn't an id unless it wasn't four days expired. what a nightmare the whole situation turned out to be. I kinda had a flip out, and cried and screamed at our realtor for all the things that had gone wrong. He insisted none of it was his fault, even though he recommended the loan guy, and admitted to not checking up on his progress enough. Anyway, I made him cry and I feel kinda bad. We ended up getting the loan company to pay for some professional movers to move us in, and the realtor promised to give us $150 for the uhaul cancellation and cost of utilities that we shouldn't have been using.
Now for the good news, we are all moved in! The movers came yesterday, and moved us to our house. i didn't have to do any heavy lifting, and neither did Scott, we just directed the dudes where to go, and chased the kids around. We have a lot of unpacking to do, but so far it has been pretty fun. It is so great having a big kitchen where I don't know where to put stuff cause there are so many options, rather than, not enough space. Our master bedroom is huge and makes our queen size bed look like a toddler bed, it is so exciting! The kids both slept great in their new rooms, which is pretty surprising for the first night in a new place. All in all, the past 3 days have made up for the previous 2 weeks or so of not so fun stuff. But we are definately glad it's over!

SHOW ME PICTURES!! I am dying to see what it looks like, it sounds awesome. Sorry about all that crap. I can't believe it was so hard to move, as if it isn't stressful enough when things go smoothly. I love that you made the Realtor cry, that must have been some pretty good arguing on your part, but at least now it is over. Congrats!

You made your realtor cry!?! LOL that's so funny! (sorry I have a weird sense of humor). Good for you for standing your ground and getting reimbursed for your troubles. Congraggies on the house.
