Our family loves halloween! We would have loved to dress up, but it's hard to find a costume for someone as pregnant as I am. We were disappointed to not be in our own neighborhood for trick or treating, but we had fun at grandma's, and she was excited to get to see the boys all dressed up. Of course we did all our traditional things, carved pumpkins, made witches brew with dry ice and root beer, made chili (thanks grandma), then the Bollwinkels came over for dinner and we went trick or treating together. So fun!The Boys on grandma's porch with our pumpkins
All of us

All the kids, I hope Lisa doesn't mind I put up this picture with little Anna the bumblebee, but isn't she so stinkin' cute?!

"Raking the Leaves"
Grandma Marde's backyard has a lot of leaves, the boys love them! They "helped" her while she was raking them up, and had a blast. I found leaves in their under-roo's while getting them ready for bed that night.

Off we go....
Have you noticed the baby ticker? It's almost time to have a baby! The ticker is actually counting down to my original due date, so it is off by a day or two, but you get the idea. We have decided to leave for salt lake city a little early, just in case of an early delivery, so tomorrow afternoon (hopefully) we will be on our way. I should really be packing right now, and cleaning, and everything else on my 4 page list of things to do, but there is so much to do that I don't know where to start. I've never had to pack for such a long trip before, and its getting a little overwhelming. I've procrastinated this long, whats a few more minutes!
Also, I came across these pictures that Van took of Dexter and Corbin in August (scott just barely put the pics on my computer even though Van gave them to him when we were in Salt Lake in September). I thought I would post a few of them, just because they are so stinkin' cute! I hadn't even seen the pictures yet, and they are adorable, I really need a better Camera, Van's super nice camera makes my pics look like crap! Thanks for the awesome pics van, I love them.Corbin and Dex playing together
More proof of Dexter's belly button obsession
More Corbin and Dex having fun
Corbin checking out the view in twin falls
I think he could be a baby model sometimes, look at that adorable face!

Crazy sunday!
Have you ever had one of those days that just doesn't go the way it is supposed to? Today was one of those days.
It actually started Friday with our ward halloween party. We dressed the boys up for the party so they could participate in the costume contest, and trunk or treating. Anyway, to make a long story short, they got some gum from somebody during trunk or treating. Corbin ate the gum in the car at some point on saturday, and it ended up in his hair. It was pretty well spread throughout his hair, and we knew we would have to cut it out. So since he had already had his bath on saturday we decided to cut it out today before church, which isn't until 12:30, so we had plenty of time.
So this morning after breakfast, we took him up to cut the gum out and buzz the rest of his hair (so it wouldn't be so obvious). We bribed him with hot chocolate to get it done without tears, and he agreed. Well anyway, Corbin proceeded to completely flip out! He cried and screamed and wiggled, he kept yelling, "you're hurting me!". It was so frustrating and took so much longer than it should have. Finally, we were able to somehow finish (although it looks a little silly) and throw him in the bath. By the time we got the boys bathed and dressed, and us bathed and dressed etc. we had about ten minutes before we had to leave for church.
On a side note, finding clothes for Corbin is always frustrating because he only has one pair of church pants that fit right now(sort of), but luckily they were clean, just a little short. I also had to keep a special eye on him while he drank his bribery hot chocolate (which he didn't really deserve) to make sure he didn't spill on his clean clothes. He tried to go outside at one point as well and play in the dirt, but I was able to thwart those plans before he got dirty.
Anyway, after all that and everyone was ready to go, I was about to go get the diaper bag ready when Scott and I realized that Corbin was in the bathroom with the door locked (never a good sign). We yelled in for him to let us in and he said he was going poop. We knew what that meant, he had pooped in his pants and was trying to hide the evidence. After about 5 minutes scott convinced him to open the door, and made the disgusting discovery that he not only pooped in his pants, but peed in them too! His only church pants! Now what?! Scott cleaned him up and we searched for something else for him to wear, that wasn't completely rediculous, but came up empty handed. By this time we were extremely late, and I gave up, no church for us today.
Just last week in relief society we talked about how President Joseph Smith was tarred and feathered, and still went to church the next morning. I feel like the worst mormon ever!

"new" couches!
Russell and Collette got some new couches, so they gave us their old ones. We are so excited to have some furniture in our front room, which has remained empty for four months. Thanks Russell and Collette, you guys rock! Here is Dex sitting on the smaller of the two couches, he is poking his belly button with his sippy cup. That's right I don't exaggerate these things, he puts everything in there.

Snow!!
Earlier this week it was warm, the boys and I played outside wearing shorts, t-shirts and sandals. The sprinkler system was still on, the windows still open etc. We weren't expecting winter and were totally unprepared for any snow to fall. About 2 days ago it actually started to get quite chilly at night, so Scott made me close the windows, and he turned off the sprinkler system yesterday morning before he went to work. Well last night at about 5:00 it started snowing! I couldn't believe it, early october and already snowing! Everyone told us when we were thinking of moving here that it hardly ever snows in boise, and when it does it melts by the end of the day. They must have been stretching the truth to get us to move here! Anyway, here are the pictures for those of you who like snow (Britteny), I am not a fan.the beginning...
a little worse....
and worse....
Oh man.....
Gettin' crazy......
And finishing up......
Stupid snow! At least it melted by this afternoon. What happened to fall, I hate winter!
