Braggin' Wagon Wednesday

Yesterday as I walked to school to pick the boys up I had to take my coat off because I was too hot! How great is that?! I took off my coat (the boys immediately followed suit) and we walked home with the sun shining and a nice cool wind, it was heavenly. I wish it would stay like this, but I know it won't.

When Scott and I lived in Kearns, Ut we had these neighbors named Bev and Royal (you can tell by their names that they were quite elderly). They were SO NICE! They'd come over to check on us, bring us cookies, and Bev and I even carpooled to some Relief Society activities together. I remember she watched Dexter for me once while he was a newborn so I could mow the lawn while Scott was at work or something. They were so disappointed when they saw the "for sale" sign in our front yard. And while we were sad to leave such good neighbors, we were excited for the next stage of our lives. Then we moved into our house here in Boise, and our neighbors suck. Not just one neighbor, both neighbors. They park in front of our house ALL THE TIME, and on one side even park in front of our driveway!! Isn't that the rudest thing ever?! Who does that?! I swear both houses have 20+ people that live there and they all have cars! The neighbor that is nice enough to not block our driveway has really loud parties once or twice a month instead. They also house someone who plays the drums in their garage until all hours of the night..............I sure miss Bev and Royal. They were the kind of neighbors to brag about.

Ivy is quite possibly the cutest girl on earth. She's such a talker. She says such funny things all the time. Whenever I leave a room I hear her say, "Mommy, come back!" in her sweet little voice. Everyday at dinner she yells in a voice so loud you'd be shocked it came out of her, "Dinner boys! Dinner!" It's seriously the cutest thing ever! I love this age. Whoever came up with the notion of "Terrible Two's" was terribly wrong. Two's are awesome, its the three's I worry about!

Update! After this post was made, it started snowing in Boise! Ha ha! So much for your heavenly coatless weather. Sorry babe.

I hate horrible neighbors (ok that was a dumb statement but seriously). It's awful because there really is little chance of escaping them. We live in a cul-de-sac and at the end of it sticks out one building of a huge complex. We get these young kids speeding down our street (hello it ends you have to slow down!) or they park in front of or even in our driveways. All of the people that live in the houses around here have the police's phone number because we all take turns calling. Luckily this last year it's been ok but seriously for four years it was horrid. I'm sorry your neighbors suck. I hope they need to move soon and a nice family moves in.

I agree with you about the terrible twos. I think twos are so fun and sweet. But it seems when they hit three they're emotional or whiny or hard to contain. Sounds like Ivy is a doll!
