This is why my aspirations of having a beautiful garden full of delicious veggies will never come to fruition.
Once the spiders move in, I can't bring myself to get out there and pick vegetables, or weed. I'm just not cut out for this situation. Even if I send Scott out to kill the spiders, it doesn't take away the panic. I'm certain there are more.
Here's the proof. This is NOT the same spider. YUCK! They freak me out. I'd send Scott out to pick all our tomatoes, but even he's a little nervous about these mo-fo's. What kind of spider are they anyway. Ewww. Just the pics are giving me willies.
FYI: I DIDN'T TAKE THESE PICS, I DIDN'T DARE GET THAT CLOSE. KUDOS TO SCOTT FOR BEING SO BRAVE.
Oh yes, and here's the braggin' part: My dork-a-licious husband. Here he is galloping around the house to make the kids laugh. He succeeded in making us all laugh. You know you're jealous because my husband is so silly.

They are garden spiders I have them all over my planters. When ever I go outside to weed, they run over my hand while I pull out grass and other things. I pretty sure you would run away screaming!!!! They bug me but not nearly as much as they do you. =)
I'm not fond of spiders either. I sprayed a bunch of them earlier this week. And between you running with your kids and Scott galloping on a horse in the house, your kids are so blessed to have such young at heart parents! You two are soooo funny.
So I looked it up and that is an Argiope spp. (garden spider)
Bites are pretty mild "although victims may exhibit localized distress."
