Backyard Camping Trip

Can you call it a trip if we never left the house? Anyway, we thought it would be fun to go camping for labor day weekend. But we have spent far too much time in the car lately, so we decided to pitch the tent in the backyard instead, and stay home. We had hotdogs, roasted marshmallows for smores, and even planned on sleeping in the tent. We went in at about 8:45pm, read stories, and then climbed into our sleeping bags. By 9:25 pm Corbin was ready to sleep in his bed, so we went back inside. I guess it was a good thing we never left!

What a great idea!! I bet the kids loved it and it didn't require a ton of packing which is good for mom. You guys are such a cute family!

Looks like fun - that is definitely my type of camping with three little kids.

I think thats the ideal vacation. Something different and fun, yet close enough to home you can change plans and not thwart the whole trip. I love it! What fun pictures.

Way to go! It's much easier than all that traveling. Looks like you have everything you need for camping. Loved the pic's.

Sounds like fun, and as you know my kind of camping with a toilet right around the corner. Those kind of things will make lasting memories...

Hey we tried the same thing recently, but ended up coming inside cuz the girls wouldn't sleep. And then Honey ate a hole in the tent, so ours wasn't quite the success that yours was.
