I don't think the baby is coming. I'm 39wks 2 days pregnant. Marde gets here tomorrow and leaves the following Monday. That means I have six days from today to have a baby before she misses out completely. I hope the baby decides to come while she's here, but I'm starting to get nervous that he/she is staying put for a while. My guess date for baby is tomorrow. I don't think I'm going to be right. Many of your guess dates have come and gone, and no one guessed past the 14th. I have a feeling we're all wrong.
I didn't get my membranes stripped yesterday. I'm sorry, Marde. I just couldn't shake the feeling to not do it. So, while it was tempting, I turned it down. Tomorrow I'll try a "natural induction" method that consists of drinking 3 oz olive oil, 3 oz peach nectar, and a pinch of baking soda. I'm not looking forward to it, but I'll feel really bad if you come and don't get to meet our new baby, so I'm trying it. Maybe I'll be in labor by the time you arrive, but I'm not holding my breath.
Anyway, everyone please send "happy labor thoughts" our way so this baby will soon make its grand entrance into the world.
Happy September 11th by the way. Corbin got a nice history lesson on the walk to school today when he saw the flag waving in our yard. It was kind of cool to tell him the story of where I was and how I felt that day in 2001.

Good luck, it wasn't me who was prego so naturally I can't believe it has already been 9 months. SO what is the olive oil, peach nectar and baking soda supposed to do to start labor, sounds intriguing.
It will be fine anyway things turn out. It's not about me, it's about the baby. Maybe you and Scott can actually go on a date Thurs. night-start planning. It will be fun just to be with you & those cute kiddies! See you tonight. Marde
Good luck Chelle, I took caster oil,then followed it up with a cup of orange juice. I was determined Brit would be born in July. I drank the oil and oj on the 30th and Brit was here on the 31. But I couldn't drink orange juice for next few years.
