You have to look closely, but there is a bruise.
They continued sliding and running for a while longer, but then Corbin wanted to play on the swings. They were a little high for him so instead of swinging he just started pushing the empty swing, and Dex copied him like usual. After about 3 pushes that swing came back fast and hit Corbin right in the face! He almost instantly got a black eye, and while I was comforting him, Dex's swing came back and hit him in the face too! At least Dex didn't get a black eye too, people would think I beat them!
What it looked like immediately following the incident
What it looks like today
They were both crying, so we walked over to the bench to take a little break and found Ivy awake and crying in the stroller. With all three kids in tears I decided it was time to go home, but we had a good time before the accidents. Today the boys were excited about the sunshine again, but instead of going to the park, we played in the backyard, it feels less dangerous at home!!

I'm glad you are taking advantage of the nice weather! Poor little guys with their bumps, it's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt right? Boys will be boys........
Poor guys, my kids are scared of swings! I wish we could go outside and enjoy the weather. At least it will be nice and warm in St. George!
Poor kids! I have been itching to get out of the house too. I am so tired of this cold dreary weather. Today has been a little better. When we walked outside I asked Anna "Isn't it bright?" and she told me "No, its just sunny."
I thought today was excellent! We got spring fever and after school we stayed outside and I cleaned the car out while the kids rode scooters and stuff. Poor Corbin and Dex! At least they earned them doing something fun!
Today is awesome weather here in St.George. I love the sunshine also.I hope your boys are doing better. Boys will be boys. I enjoyed taking you guys to the park too. Have fun with that great yard for them to play in.
I'm really not laughing right now. Oh sorry for that adventure. I can just imagine the swing incident and not knowing whether to be mad, or sad or to cry or laugh. Glad that the backyard is a safe haven :) I wish it were spring here!
Oh man, I just laughed so hard tears came out. Sad but funny at the same time. Sounds like they got Aunt Maxines grace and coordination, watch out for the sidewalk cracks.
