I just thought I'd comment a little on general conference. I wish every sunday was conference sunday. It is so great to sit at home where the kiddo's can be as loud as they want and I can sit down and watch and listen and actually get something out of it.
My favorite talk was during the sunday afternoon session when M. Russell Ballard spoke about young mothers, he really made me feel appreciated for my chosen profession. Sometimes, being a stay at home mother makes me feel a little guilty for getting to stay home with my boys while Scott has to work all day. But he really made me realize that what I am doing really is important. What a good talk. I also thought President Monson spoke well, as always, and I am very excited that he is the new prophet. I have always looked up to him and loved listening to him speak. All in all it was a very good two days worth of spiritual enlightenment, I can't wait til october.

You totally stole my thoughts. I too loved being able to sit at home and watch conference. I also had the same favorite talk. Listening to it made me appreciate so much being able to be a mom, it is such a blessing. It is a lot of work, but so so very worth it. I also feel a little guilty sometimes when I get to stay home while Brad is busy working and with school all the time. I too love Pres. Monson. (Did he get funnier?) I am always sad when conference is over. It goes too fast.
i have to say amen to everything you said. i don't even have kids & i like general conference way more than church. and ballard's was also one of my very favorite talks. and i love how personable president monson is.
